The bed your dog actually chooses
Hound & Home was founded by Stacy Vestel, a product development manager who spent years building homewares for other people’s brands. Then she came home to a senior rescue with a tired old bed, and started sketching.
The first Hound & Home bed went through fourteen fabric samples and three foam densities before our own dog gave it a three-circle approval. Today we make honest, well-built beds and ship them direct from our workshop partners to your door.
What we believe
- Make it for the dog first. The customer is the human; the user is the dog.
- Be specific. “Chew-resistant” not “chew-proof.” “10-inch foam” not “thick foam.”
- Stand behind it. Real warranty, real customer service, no fine print games.
- Small for now. One style done well, before a catalog.
How we make beds
Every bed starts with a CertiPUR-US memory foam core — a single slab, not shredded filler that flattens in a season. The cover unzips, washes cold, and goes back on the frame in a few hours. A waterproof inner liner stops accidents at the foam. A non-slip bottom keeps the bed from skating on hardwood.
We photograph our beds with real dogs in real homes. No stock photography, no AI renders.
Our promises
- 30-night sleep trial. If your dog doesn’t choose it, send it back for a full refund.
- 1-year manufacturing warranty. Any defect, we make it right.
- 90-day chew replacement. If your dog rips it in the first three months, we replace it once for a flat $20 re-ship fee. No photos of guilty faces required (but appreciated).
