Sizing

What size should I get?
Measure your dog from nose to base of tail when stretched out, add 6–8 inches, and match to the sleep-area column on our size guide. When between sizes, size up — dogs sprawl.

My dog is a sprawler / curler. Same bed?
Curlers and bolster-leaners do well in our standard bolster bed because the raised edge gives them something to lean into. Sprawlers should size up so they can stretch out fully.

Materials & care

What’s inside?
A single slab of CertiPUR-US memory foam — not shredded fill that compresses. Foam is wrapped in a waterproof inner liner, then covered by a removable, machine-washable outer cover.

Is the cover washable?
Yes. Unzip, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, air dry or tumble low. Do not bleach. The foam itself should not be machine-washed.

Does it have a non-slip bottom?
Yes. The base panel is a textured non-slip fabric that holds on hardwood and tile.

Are the materials safe for dogs?
Foam is CertiPUR-US certified, meaning it’s been independently tested for low-VOC emissions and contains no formaldehyde, mercury, lead, or ozone-depleters. Cover fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified where available.

Chewing & durability

Is this bed chew-proof?
No. Nothing short of a steel kennel pad is. We call our beds chew-resistant — double-stitched seams, heavy-duty zipper at a hidden seam, and a denser cover fabric than commodity beds. If your dog is a determined destroyer, see our chew replacement program below.

What if my dog chews through it?
If it happens in the first 90 days, we’ll replace the bed once for a flat $20 re-ship fee. Email support@houndandhomestore.com with your order number and a photo.

Shipping & delivery

How fast does it ship?
Orders placed before 12pm ET on a business day ship the next business day. Transit is 2–5 business days via UPS or FedEx ground. See our shipping policy for details.

Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We currently ship to all 50 US states and DC.

Is shipping really free?
Yes, on every order, with no minimum.

Returns & warranty

What if my dog doesn’t use it?
Return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We’ll email a prepaid return label. Full details on our return policy.

How long is the warranty?
1 year against manufacturing defects, plus the 90-day chew replacement program described above.
